Vancouver, Canada — January 2026 — Hamo AI Technology Ltd., a Canada-based artificial intelligence company focused on human-centered psychology and relationship intelligence, today announced that it has officially joined the UBC Science Co-op Program as an approved employer partner.
Through this collaboration, Hamo AI will offer elite University of British Columbia (UBC) Science students hands-on opportunities to engage in cutting-edge Psychology × Artificial Intelligence research, product design, and system architecture—bridging academic rigor with real-world AI product development.
Empowering the Next Generation of Psychology × AI Innovators
As part of the UBC Science Co-op Program, Hamo AI will host co-op students across interdisciplinary roles, including:
- AI Engineering & System Architecture
- Psychology / Counselling & Human-Centered Design
- AI-Powered Mental State Modeling

Students will directly contribute to the design and development of Hamo AI's next-generation products, working alongside the company's founding team to explore how psychological theory, cognitive science, and AI systems can be integrated into scalable, trustworthy technologies.
Advancing a Computable Model of the Human Mind
The partnership also enables Hamo AI to leverage UBC's world-class research ecosystem to accelerate its long-term mission: building a computable model of the human mind.

This research direction aims to support individuals and families in achieving greater emotional clarity, healthier communication, and more meaningful life experiences.
“Joining the UBC Science Co-op Program is a natural and important step for Hamo AI. We believe the future of AI is not just about intelligence, but about understanding the human mind. By working with UBC's outstanding students and research culture, we are advancing toward AI systems that can meaningfully support people's life purposes and well-being.”
